Location: Colorado - Front Range

Summary: Operates PBX or multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties. Answer inquiries and provide information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties regarding activities conducted at establishment and location of departments, offices, and employees within the organization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments. 
  • Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. 
  • Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine. 
  • Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents. 
  • File and maintain records. 
  • Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided. 
  • Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries. 
  • Greet all of our customers, suppliers and visitors in a professional and courteous manner announcing their arrival to the appropriate department. 
  • Take accurate messages and relay to proper person or department. Respond to inquiries and provide applicable information. Page personnel in the offices and warehouse when required. 
  • Assist with the distribution of all-incoming mail and faxes to the offices. 
  • Assist accounts receivable with mail-outs 

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents (such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals), write routine reports and correspondence, and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Spanish bilingual abilities preferred. 

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts (such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume) and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to practical situations. 

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions (in mathematical or diagram form), and to deal with several abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. 

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Not Applicable 

    Other Requirements: Ability to work overtime. Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.
